Phelan Community Park
Built for the Community
The Phelan Community Park Project represents a major investment in creating a more active, connected, and welcoming community space. Building and expanding on the existing park, this addition will add new amenities designed for recreation, family use, and community gatherings - while laying the groundwork for future growth.
Enhancing the Existing Park
Improvements currently underway are focused on revitalizing and upgrading the existing park to better serve the community. These enhancements are designed to improve accessibility, usability, and overall park experience for residents of all ages.
The enhancements that are currently underway include:
- Pickleball Courts
- Community Teaching Garden
- ADA-accessible Pathways
- Outdoor Exercise Equipment
- New Corn-Hole Equipment
- Picnic Areas
- New Landscaping Throughout the Park
These improvements represent the first step in a broader effort to create a more dynamic and welcoming community space.










Phase I: Park Expansion
Building on the current enhancements, Phase I of the expansion will introduce new amenities and infrastructure to support increased park use and future development.
These new amenities will include:
- Two Multi-Use Ball Fields
- New Playground Area
- Concession and Restroom Facility
- Expanded Parking
This phase is designed to activate the expanded park area while establishing the foundation for future phases.
A Space for the Community
Together, these improvements and expansions are designed to create a space where families can gather, youth can play, and the community can connect. From Everyday recreation to organized activities, the park is evolving to better serve the needs of the District.
Part of a Larger Vision
The park expansion works alongside the new Civic Center to create a central hub for community life. Together, these projects are designed to provide space for recreation, events, and essential services, strengthening the District's role as a gathering place for the community.
