Phelan Pinon Hills Community Services District Thanks Senator Valladares for Helping Secure $2.7 Million for Local Storm Repairs

PHELAN, Calif. — 10/8/2026 — The Phelan Pinon Hills Community Services District thanks Senator Suzette Martinez Valladares for helping secure $2.7 million in state funding for storm repairs in Phelan and Pinon Hills.
The funding was included in Assembly Bill 113, part of the state budget package signed by Governor Gavin Newsom. Senator Valladares announced the allocation on September 21 alongside other investments in communities throughout Senate District 23.
The District’s Board of Directors and staff appreciate Senator Valladares’ advocacy for Phelan and Pinon Hills and her efforts to bring state resources to the High Desert. This funding represents an important investment in addressing local storm damage and supporting the community’s recovery needs.
The District also thanks the Senator’s staff for their attention to the needs of Phelan and Pinon Hills. Partnerships between local agencies and state representatives help ensure that rural communities receive consideration and support for essential projects.
